PLAYING (WITH) KETCHUP

For Christmas, Boris got a set of ninja gear...

Most of the smaller pieces are, of course, lost by now, but he's managed to hang onto the swords.

Walking around the house, minding my own business, I'm regularly attacked from behind by a pajama-wearing, sword-wielding, jutsu-spouting ninja master...

A ninja master that punches much harder than his age might suggest...

This is his serious face.

This is the face that means, "hurry up, lesser human, while I still deign to acknowledge your inconsequential existence."

This is his guy face.

This is the face that makes all the girls in his class swoon.

This is his James Dean face.

(Although, I don't know if James Dean played with pink play-doh...)

'Tis the Season

Well folks, here they are at last, pictures from Boris' Thanksgiving songfest and feast!
Thanks Dad for fixing my headdress!

As you can see... he was a Native American.

Going to his feast in the new cafeteria was
pretty neat. I loved going into his school
and being part of everything.

The pumpkin bread I made was a big hit!

Have I mentioned how much I love this kid?!

Boris' Field Day!

This is Boris running one of the relay races. He was awesome! I loved being there for this. It's the type of thing I've been looking forward too for a long time. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!

Some down time between events...
If Boris wasn't in the event, he was right there on the sidelines cheering on each and every one of his classmates!

Returning from the trash can where he just disposed of an incredibly yummy popsicle provided by one of the Moms!

Day #7

I'd like to introduce you to my beautiful son Boris. He is a nutjob...enjoy!
What better way to prove your strength to the masses, than with a little demonstration! Look! He not only lifts his brother with little effort, but he can also move him around the room!

There is something magical about this kids smile. It's a drug of mine. I will never get enough.

Day #6

Oh my gosh! That spider's going to eat all the cake!
Yup, he still does that 'hair' thing!

RED RANGER, GO!

The king and his court?

Boris is such a guy. He's hairy, bold, aggressive, opinionated, short-tempered and very very independent. He is so amazing. He led the pack tonight, urging on the slower kids, choosing which houses to hit and which to skip. He carefully calculated exactly how much loot he was getting from each stop, complaining if he felt it wasn't enough.

But, as always, he stays happy! He's the chipper, upbeat, quick-to-laugh alpha-dog in the pack of brightly-colored kids. He commands attention. He smiles alot. He gets all the jokes we try to tell over his head. He's a ladykiller. He's infuriating and endearing at the same time.

Everybody loves Boris.

(I don't know why it looks like Spike has pigtails..he doesn't.)

I didn't know where else to put this picture...

Do you have any idea how proud we are?
Do you know how good it feels to see your child grow up?
Do you know how much it hurts to see your child grow up?

We have more love than we can ever use up...

Day #4

Boris was so excited to go back to school today, he literally could not stand still! I, unfortunately lost my voice to my illness, so had a hard time communicating with his teacher at school. I did, however, get his report card, and am happy to report that it was outstanding! He got the kindergarten equivilant of straight A's!
This is after a hair cut and a nice relaxing shower. He is going to be a red Power Ranger tomorrow and has to look his best! Especially since Delaney is going to be Super Girl! We have to give the ladies something sweet to look at, don't we?
